Well I finished the big gilt yesterday, 47lb. hams on her. There was some nice marbled meat, not to mention almost 80 pork chops. I'm tired and it's morning. My bacca patch didn't fair well this weekend. I was out of water finally and then the showers hit, 3.5" later they stopped. The Zimmer Spanish is still my best grower, with one or two VA Gold hanging with them.

I feel for you. My VA and Burley average about 18" tall and are starting to bud. I've harvested the lugs and have them curing. I'm debating whether it's going to be easier to prime these little things or stalk cure. It may depend on when I start seeing suckers after topping. I'll try for a sucker crop. I'm also debating topping them now, because they're just plain not going to put on much more growth regardless.

I thought the same exact thing! After the problems my plants have given me this year, I'm looking forward to dismantling them leaf by leaf and I hope it hurts!

I know you were picking. While I'm a very serious person myself, I can appreciate humor in others.

I picked up a deer and put it in the van once that was hit by the car in front of me. I like doing that, i dont even have to pay for the bullit. Plus it's already tenderized. I almost felt like i cheated.
You guys are funny. Nice pork, if they were wild around here, I'd be living on a pork diet.
