Last filling of my orlik golden sliced.
It is definitly something you want to keep around. I smoked it dry. I have found this to the best way to deliver the sweet virginia flavour and i can really recommand it.
If i can get something like this out of my virginia plants i am more than happy.

Orlik Golden Sliced is a pressed plug of mostly flue-cured Virginia Bright (lower half of the plant) and a tiny quantity of Perique. The pressing sweetens it.

Thats some nice info to know. My plan is to flue cure some of my goose creek and virginia gold in my kiln and with the help of your book and the forum threads. Depending on how well it goes i stick to it or try sun curing.

I smoked some Mallard again this day.
I think i slowly develope a better palate for tobacco in general and i can taste more stuff which i could not detect before.
I smoked it on the dry side and i now get the perique flavour and i can describe it better i think.
The virginias offer some good virginia character and sweetness and the perique gives it this spiciness which i would compare to the spiciness of Big Red chewing gum. Its quiet interesting and a nice smook when the weather gets warmer.

Thank you a lot for your concern sir, the fire was far away from me but the saddest thing is after those fires you know what is?
People and animals are dying, cars houses and gardens burned to the ground and the next year someone put his signature for illegal built villas and Aeiolic parks.
I grew up in the country beside sea and forest so we know here ''by first hand'' which fire is naturally, by mistake or an arson for money.

That Cake looks really good. Does It hold together in a flake form when you cut it or does it fall apart like a crumble cake?
