On the subject of pests, I've collected a couple more. The first one is my local version of a bud worm. These little darlin's I hate more than horn worms.

Now this one I don't know what it is, camouflage is not one of it's strong points.

Not worried about them being to close together?

The Turkish? I was worried early on, but I can get through most of it. The only place I have a problem is where some plants got blown down, I think they would have been a problem at any spacing.

I understand better now i think......that whole patch in the last pic is just turkish varieties? Nice to know they do well with that spacing.

A little more than half the patch is Virginias and Shiraz on 2' centers, 4' between the rows. That's at the far end of the patch. If you go back to about post 230 I posted some pictures that show the Turkish section better. I need to take a picture from the long side of the patch, it won't be very good because of obstructions.

Could you stand on a stepladder maybe to give you a better angle?
