Burnt basically even to the nub. Looked decent. Good draw. I say I won!
Nice cigar, too bad it's clogged! Good experience that will allow you to correct your mistakes. But nothing serious, it happens to the best. I remember Partagas cigars in the late 80's that were completely clogged and unsmokable. The draw was like sucking on a wine cork, completely unsmokeable.
Thank you Bob!Congratulations, @Perequin. Very pretty cigar. You have clearly mastered the concept of a smooth wrapper. Roll one; smoke one--until you reliably have a draw that you are happy with. Think "function" before "beauty".

Interesting looking foot pattern. What's your bunching technique?View attachment 39783View attachment 39784
I finally got my tobacco out of the kiln and got to roll my very first cigar! Not the prettiest stick I’ve ever layed eyes on but it still holds a special place in my heart.
Since it was my first I obviously had to try using a wrapper on it. I completely messed up the triple cap and I think my glue was a bit too thick or something which made it hard to apply properly.
I hand rolled it since I don’t have a mold and I lit it up 24 hours after making it. The draw was like sucking on a wine cork, completely unsmokeable.
What little taste I got was really good though.
Can’t wait to go at it again!
How do you like the Latakia in the blends? I’ve always thought about it, but just haven’t pulled the trigger on any Latakia yet.View attachment 39873View attachment 39872I made a few ‘gourmet’ freehand cigars and a couple short scrap cigars. All Maduro wrapped but with different and random ingredients including Latakia and KFC.
I really like it on occasion. I love the aroma of Latakia but not everyone does. It’s worth trying if you have some handy. It only takes a couple grams to be noticeable in my experienceHow do you like the Latakia in the blends? I’ve always thought about it, but just haven’t pulled the trigger on any Latakia yet.
