View attachment 40215Bound these all up on Xmas Eve. Been rotating here and there. 10x 52 ring gauge on left. 8x 50 ring gauge on right. 2x paper wrapped dolls that would’ve busted out of 52 ring mold, so wrapped them up.

Next steps is to check on the wrapper leaf.

Blend is from WLT Terroso Profundo kit (https://wholeleaftobacco.com/product/terroso-profundo/)

*Pretty decent blend on nicotine strength, aroma, & flavors.


These all have:

Binder: WLT CV PA

Filler:
50% WLT Corojo ‘99 Viso
25% WLT Criollo ‘98 Ligero
25% WLT CV Dom Seco

*Did some initial head & foot trim, but may need to shape up some heads a little better.

Excellent FrostD, I just received this kit myself and found the flavors to be real good, I got almost a toasted cherry type of flavor. Only thing it was way to strong, which is strange as I enjoy strong cigars. This time I used 50% seco, 25% viso and 25% Ligero. We will see how that goes.

Feel free to post up when you smoke it! Should burn nicely. The 50% Viso I added adds a little bit more of a medium strength punch, without having to sacrifice too much on the burn (imho). Nice blend regardless, even when varying the different quantities of each filler leaf type.

Darn, no go. Just by adding more percentage of seco and reducing the ligero and viso I lost the burnt cherry and cinnamon flavours. Hmm I’ll have to do a bit more tweaking.

I believe that the filler choices in that kit are not only of different stalk-position primings, but also of different varieties. Good luck on the tweaking.

My last post wrapped in WLT H2K Wrapper. Remaining wrapper prepped will be used as scrap binder… too many holes. So, there’s 18 here. 2 newspaper wrapped sticks will get a wrapper when I have a decent extra.

One triple ligero filler sandwiched between corojo seco bound in PA ligero and San Andreas wrapper. The other is half PA ligero, half corojo seco bound in Sumatra and wrapped in San Andreas.

High praise indeed FrostD! The top picture i used a homemade mold but the bottom toro was a freehand. Just smoked it (60% ligero) , it burned great and was not near as strong as I thought it could have been. Sweet and spicy. Still it was just a touch edgy so maybe switching the ligero PA binder to a viso and or tweeking the type of filler ligero may just be all thats needed.
