Funny because I thought to myself beforehand maybe I'm over complicating the blends so I threw together what seemed to be a pretty run of the mill Nicaraguan in today's market but to my palette it surpassed those. Weird how that happens. I have a second version that I subbed in some Corojo Viso with the Esteli Seco I will smoke later today and report back. If it goes well @FrostD I'll send ya some.
Hey buddy! The bands I designed was through a program where I purchased blank cigar band pages. OnlineLabels.com has a label design program called Maestro (if I can recall correctly). The label types integrate into the web based software and you can design from there. I used an old old old printer, so some of the print on the labels get cut off. May be that I just need to adjust my printer settings. Pretty simple once you play around on the program for a bit. Labels can sometimes be pricey per band, unless you buy in a bulk amount where the cost gets reduced.New bands? They look great.
Oh! You can also get a few “sample” pages to try out first before buying. So a few free labels to see if you like the label design program.Hey buddy! I may be interested! Keep us in the loop as to how the process goes and what the cost would be brother!Very cool!
Off topic, but this reminds me. Does anyone have any interest in what would be “stamps” for custom cigar bands. I recently got two laser engravers and have the capability to turn photos and images into engraved items. I can do most metals and organic materials. One thing I thought would be cool would be custom plates or “stamps” for homemade cigar bands. I think if done right it could even have textures/ raised or lowered edges depending on the engraving depth. This is something I’ve been meaning to do recently, but I’ll give it a shot once I’m finished moving.
Will do! I’m not in it for money, so I would only ask for FTT members to cover shipping (or materials if it’s something odd). I always thought it would be cool to have custom textured bands that we could use for our home rolled cigars!I may be interested!
