It wasn't much of a challenge for this cigar to smoke and taste better than it looks. The nearly black Olor (maybe) binder seemed to slow the burn of the wrapper. But who's looking! It was a good smoke.

Outstanding!! Are you using a mold, paper strips, or just free hand rolling? Regardless, it looks very good!
I have a couple of molds for perfecto cigars, but for Pajero shapes, I am using a 20mm / 25 mm PVC electric conduit pipes sliced vertically . It gives a nice cylindrical shape to the cigar (and i can have multiple choices for the ring size), but getting the round top had been a challenge.. Thanks to you, not any more :)

I dig it! The PVC pipe split with rubber bands to hold it together is a great idea. Not too much pressure to restrict the airflow either, I’d assume? With the ability to utilize different pipe sizes to go along with different ring gauge sizes makes it very versatile. Two thumbs up!

I just finished binding up some 60 ring gauges myself. Will post some pics up a little later.

Finished up a blend I put together for a buddy who likes 60 ring gauges. This was my first attempt at that large of a ring gauge. It was interesting for sure, but was happy to finally break in my 8x60 wooden mold that I purchased from WLT a year or two ago. Using a wooden mold was also interesting compared to plastic molds that I’ve been using up to this point. Leaf definitely dries up way faster than a plastic mold.

I call this blend “Bad Wolf” (Reason for the name is my buddy who I made it for is the lead singer in a local band called “Bad Wolf”):

BAD WOLF

Wrapper: TBD (Considering using 5 different wrappers. 2 sticks per wrapper type). Stay tuned…

Binder: Double Honduran

Filler:
-1x Nicaraguan Estelí Ligero
-1x Nicaraguan Condega Ligero
-1x Nicaraguan Jalapa Viso
-1x Dominican Piloto Cubano Viso
-1x T-13 Viso
-1x Honduran Seco
-1x Columbian Seco

Currently they are all 8x60 in the mold and filler is rolled entubado style. Some could definitely stay at 8” but am thinking others may be cut down to 7” or even 6”. Paper strip molded sticks on the bottom are bound with a single Honduran binder and used left over scrap from the blend I set aside. Used the King Roller machine to expedite the rolling process for the 4x paper strip molded sticks. Fingers crossed this blend turns out decent or at bare minimum, smokable! Lol!

If any oldtimers out there can remember Marsh Wheeling Deluxe Stogies, this cigar is a robusto version of what might be considered a Marsh Wheeling Ultra Premium Stogie. Though the original Marsh Weeling machine-made cigars—manufactured in Wheeling, West Virginia—were all short filler, that filler was specifically Little Dutch, though dressed in a PA Broadleaf wrapper.

This is about the smoothest Little Dutch I have ever smoked. Burn is good (better than the FL Sumatra wrapper). Nicotine is medium. Though quite subtle, it still carries that distinctive Little Dutch aroma.

Finished up the “Bad Wolf” blend. These are some big boys for sure! Not normally my cup of tea, since I usually prefer a corona, robusto, toro size or smaller. All 60 ring gauge. Length is about 6”-7”. Fingers crossed!

Blend details:

Name: “Bad Wolf”

Wrappers (Left to right. 2x of each)
-Connecticut Broadleaf
-Brazilian Mata Fina
-Ecuadorian Viso Shade
-Ecuadorian Maduro
-Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro

Binder: Double Honduran

Filler:
-1x Nicaraguan Estelí Ligero
-1x Nicaraguan Condega Ligero
-1x Nicaraguan Jalapa Viso
-1x Dominican Piloto Cubano Viso
-1x T-13 Viso
-1x Honduran Seco
-1x Columbian Seco

Now to use the left over prepped up wrappers to either wrap up some “scrap filler” sticks or if they have too many holes, use em as binders for some more “scrap filler” sticks.

Edit: pic doesn’t do these sticks much justice. They look way smoother with my own eyes.

Goofin’ around with some new binder and filler, and some funny vintage bands I have. The faces crack me up. I have 2 sheets of 2 dozen portraits of a graduating college class from the 60’s or 70’s. These are my 3 favorite faces

Nice work FrostD. How do you like the Brazilian wrapper?
I've got a 60 wood mold on it's way.
Overall, I love any Brazilian leaf! The Connecticut versions that WLT has a very nice, sweet mustiness to it. Incredible look and burn. The Mata Fina has a good Chocolate/spiciness to it. Always a good choice. Just need to prep the MF a little longer.
