I don't own sled dogs so I don't need AC. For getting around, if I don't feel like snowshoeing, or skiing, I call the Uber dog team. Sometimes I can take the sled on the river.

We replaced two furnaces in the new house with a three zone boiler system. Max 175,000 btu/hr

Ahhh, Beluga dogs;)
Wow, full out boiler system. That is a big g/ass heater. Probably be a lot more energy efficient than what was in there. One of the three zones is a giant kiln right? :)

Sorry to get off topic @Radagast, did you ever get a chance to try the GCR?

I don't mind..
And yes I did:

It was good! I found the darker leaf woodsy and it had just a hint of something like sandalwood or smokey cedar. Spicy too. Very satisfying off the bat but could use some pressing and/or age. I think cigarette smokers would be quite happy with it as well as pipe blenders. The yellow leaf was not flavourful. Smokeable yes, but just leafy and while mild enough to make a decent light cigarette, didn't blow me away in the pipe.

Is that Virginia you have there on the big picture ?
In that picture the three plants left to right are Delhi 34 (Virginia), Yellow Twist Bud (Burley), and Delhi 34 again. There were some complications in my life at planting time that resulted in some haphazard placements. Those D34s are up well past 6' there.

GCR is one of my favorite strains. Let us know if flue curing it is worth the effort vs air curing i.e. if it turns out sweeter (or more acidic) than when air cured.

pier
Definitely worth doing at least a handful for a different flavour. I don't yet have any air cured, finished gcr to compare with so I can't say if it's sweeter or not.. what is it like?

Thanks.. They've had ideal weather and some good luck this summer. ..and probably a lot less hail. Some friends of ours who recently moved out to your neck of the woods just came back for a visit last week. I got the impression from them that hail is brutal there.. Do you get the odd tornado out that way?

In 1987 the city was hit with a tornado that killed 27 and injured over 300.

We rarely see tornados around here but they are common only an hour or so away. This photo was taken a couple hours drive south from here.

The dude is still mowing his lawn, I love it. Are you sure that's not Arkansas? No, wait, no swarm of mosquitoes not Arkansas:)
We got nailed with an F3 in 2008. I hate those damn things.

I watched a small one go past my house maybe 200 yards away. It went by my grandmothers house and totally demolished her storage shed and scattered it several hundred yards across the cow pasture. The shed was twenty feet from my grandmothers house and it didn’t touch the house. Not one shingle blew off. Nothing. Terrified my grandmother and great uncle but zero harm. 20 ft. separation.

It's an amazing and mysterious phenomenon. Glad no one was hurt. I've been in two small ones myself, though I was so young I don't remember the first one.
