Plants are truly a marvel.
This Prilep had a long winding stem when I planted it. It has beefed up significantly since then and put out this little shoot of growth as well as the main one. Question is, should I treat that like a sucker and pull it off?20200615_174058.jpg

I would pluck that sucker by the base. With Prilep specifically, once you've harvested about half of each stalk, then allow suckers at leaf axils to grow. That sucker leaf on Prilep will grow into leaf indistinguishable from the primary leaf. Most varieties don't do that.

Awesome thanks Bob

Expensive lesson regarding BT (bacillus thuringiensis):
There are two marketed subspecies of the BT bacteria, BTI (bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) and btk (bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki).

The product on the left: I bought 'mosquito dunks' after finding them to be a suitable solution to the rain barrel mosquito problem I've had this year (I usually plop 2 goldfish in them). Thinking I was really clever, I sprayed that water all over the place, supposing it would curtail the cabbage worm problem ravaging my kale. It didn't.. While it did wipe out the mosquitoes. It turns out the mosquito dunks are made with BTI, which targets ONLY MOSQUITO AND BLACKFLY larvae.
The product on the right: It is in fact BTK which targets ONLY LEAF MUNCHING WORMS.
Live and learn eh, hope this helps somebody in the future..

Hoping this is not a root issue..
I'm used to the cycle of wilting in the heat and sun to filling back out in the evening, but this single leaf didn't come back up and looks like it may not make it. One leaf is no big deal but I'd like to get a handle on any potential probs that could affect whole plants. Any thoughts?20200704_125924.jpg

Hi Radagast,
Looks like you or ( bugs) may have damaged the leaf stem. Have you had a good look where the leaf joins the main stem? A pic of that area maybe helpfull.
