"fertilized them with muriate potash"

That's a big no no Jim.

I know potassium sulphate is expensive and hard to come by but needed for baccy. If you can only get chlorine based p(muriate) i would apply it after the crop is done so the clorine has time dissapate.

Taxed. I believe chicken is doing an experiment with a select few plants to document the difference. He's just got to see for his own self. Damn good advice though!

you may not have read certain posts,,,,

but my new job, is deliviring fertilizer, 20 tons at a time,

so far ive delivered, to orange groves, hay fields, cotton fields, peaunuts,

they have hoppers, that have every fertilizer known to man.in cluding all trace elements,

what i got was pure potash,,, no chlorine in it,

some of the ammonia nitrate we haul has a percentage of chlorine in it,

i need to get some copies of these, delivery orders, and how detailed the mix is, down to the %'s of each,

lets just say, i have acess, to commercial fertilizer,

in it's pure form,

I see "orbs" in that second picture. You got a haunted kiln. Careful those ghosts don't smoke up all your hard work ><

Whats those brown spots on the leaf?

Nope you are haunted. I am sure that my perfect vantage point of a thousand miles away as well as deep knowledge of ghosts from watching Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures would not mislead this extremely scientific conclusion. I suggest you set up a recording device, and if you hear a pitter-patter noise, it is an EMF of little ghost feet walking around everywhere.

What are those brown spots on your leaf?

those brown spots are called

FROG EYE,

they commonlly occur on the bottom leaves,,,,some of mine has it, but go up 2 or 3 leaves on the plant. and it vanishes,

it's not a issue really, just makes the leaf '' look'' ugly,

my god it needs to quit raining,

ive seen some pic's of my area on facebook, and thier is some extensive flooding going on,,, roads being washed out ,, mobile homes, under water,,, people using boats to get to thier houses, e,t,c,

im off today because of it,,,and work has to be done, in the baccy patch,, im finding with this new job, i dont have no free daylight time,

so i gotta take advantage of this break, RAIN OR NO RAIN,

im gonna try to make some cole-slaw cured baccy,,, using what normally would be my waste,,, sucker leaves, yellowed leaves,,,,lug leaves,,,e,t,c,

so lets try it,i got it in the kiln, with everything turned on,,,, to dry it,,, IT'S RAINING, and i plucked it all wet,,,i'll name it '' unknow'' a mixture of everything,im gonna bag it when its dry,

and will update the progress of it here,

well the rain is finally gone,,,

odd thing is my plants took that rain for 4 days straight,,,,and stood firm,

and the last day of it i guess it got windy,

it didnt really lay none of them down, but it got them turned a little,

i got my work cut out for me today, straightning them back out, and staking some more of them,, for firmness,

my area is flooded real bad, roads are washed away, and im sure the air conditioning people are going to be busy for weeks, fixin units, and installing new ductwork under mobile homes,

i didnt get flooded where im at, i guess we got good drainage here,

Man your plants are looking good
It's been wet here to but not like what your experiencing
Last year by this time I had watered my patch 6 times by now
I haven't watered it yet this year it's been raining so much
The only time I added water so was when I transplanted them and when I added Nitrogen
to the soil just to make it dissolve into the soil. Right now it's 46 degrees it's supposed to get up to 73
today.
