IVE GOT LADyBUGS,,,,,,

i know i got aphid's, but i been waiting on a clear day to poision them,

i been outside, straightning some plants up, that the storm got '' sideways''... and the sketters were killing me, so i came in for some bug spray, and a shirt<<<

as i was examining, the underside, of a lot of leaves, i seen 1 lady bug,,,then another one,,,and then 3,,, in a very close group,

so perhaps, i'll inspect a plant before spraying it,,,

Lady bugs will eat the aphid eggs I believe Chiken. If I ever get aphids I think I'll attack harder than hornworms. They are nasty when they swarm a plant. Kill the live aphids and spare the ladybugs. I used a light solution of dishwashing soap. [the kind for the sink] on an infestation on a couple pea plants and it stopped them in their tracks. The plants were black with them.

Mornin' Chicken, Just out of curiosity, how many trucking miles do you do in an average week? Do they let you park the rig at home at night?

thats really a hard number to calculate,,,,

but i'd say on average we run,,350- 600+ miles a day,

monday we are going to arcadia fla. which is about 270+ miles one way,,,

then when we get back, we will go to ?????? so that will be more miles,

we are leaving at 3 a.m. so we can do a turn-around and possiblly get another load,

im still training so im riding with someone,,,[ who will be my boss]

Just what we need, another redneck behind a semi.;) One of my buddys just retired from driving semis and opened a buisness called 2 old men construction[Him and another old man, Now it's sometimes three] They are busy as you would not believe as he is 5th generation in this area and knows everyone in the county it seems. They do good work too. I've been helping out on occasion to learn em some ropes of the trade for certain projects, and anything I can utilize my shop for.

That looks real nice Chicken. I was looking at that motorcycle you got there and was wondering if residual fumes from that thing (exhaust + gasoline) could mess with your drying tobacco? Maybe that is overly paranoid on my part, but I thought I would bring it up.

I sure am jealous looking at all that drying leaf :) Great harvest so far, I am enjoying living vicariously through you. With the wild season it has been for many of us, we need as many successful logs as possible to pour through to keep our spirits high :D

Chicken, that sure is a nice looking bunch of tobacco you have hanging.

I think I read to avoid hanging green tobacco below partially cured tobacco. I think it has to do with the humidity rising from the green stuff and putting the more cured at risk for mold...may not be an issue for you???

the whole front of that shed is open, so mold wont be a issue for me,,,,
i made a new string '' row'' and just picked the first/second priming on '' LIZARD-TAIL''... so the bottom row will be full soon,

the shed next to this one, needs some silicone, to cover the leaks,,, and i;ll eventually hang baccy in there also,

looks like the crop for this year is going to be good and plentyfull.
