I will let anyone come and cut tobacco out of my fields so long as they take them by the hundred or thousands . Is $1 a stalk fair ?

BarG,
Do you really think that a non-grower would have the slightest idea of what to do with a sticky, 10 pound, green, 6 foot-long tobacco plant?

Those are still looking very good. You are getting this tobacco thing down pat. My thoughts are with you as this storm approaches. Not long and you will ahve a very successful crop hanging and curing.

im very impressed, with the growth i got going right now,,,, it's been real good wet weather since t-storm beryl.

'' it;s raining right now''<

my burley is nice and wide, and all but 4-6 of the plants look very healthy,

gearing up to make the kiln operational, and big enough to hold a lot of baccy at once,

There looking great chicken
up here in the PNW it's been cold and raining for
a long time now last year at this time I had all ready watered out
of my rain barrels twice at this point
Now if the weather forecasters got it right this time by Sunday it supposed to
be " Normal " but they said that twice this year and been wrong.
Where the hell is the damn global warming crap when you need it.
It's only been in the 50's for the last two weeks

Chicken,
Your tobacco continues to put us to shame. You're always at work on your tobacco, planting, inventing, building. At your pace, my body would be its own multi-strain grow log.

I love work, I watch it all the time. Congrats on a fantastic tobacco crop this year Chicken. Last photo I saw it looks like you are well past the can't totally loose point. Make sure you bag and tag a few of them. We need as many seed sources as we can get. I hope to have seed from at least 22 varieties this year. Oh and my ergo seed is starting to get harvested. I took about a dozen pods of the plant the other day. So I will have at least some seed for others next year.

Overall my starting is not going well but I do seem to have managed to save at least one plant of every type.
