Same blend (Vuelta Abajo binder, T13 and P. Cubano Viso filler) and 6 different wrappers (all WLT except some Nic Connecticut shade from @TorcidorMike) I had a box or 27 cigars with the above fillers wrapped in corojo oscuro that I left for 8 months and man they were amazing. Shared most of them at a Christmas party with a group of guys I smoke with. So seeing what they do at 46-50rg and I’ll see how patient I can be…View attachment 44423View attachment 44424
UPDATE: honestly didn't enjoy any of these very much. They tasted much, much better at a 36 ring gauge.

Narrower ring gauge tends to increase the combustion temp, while decreasing the smoke volume per puff. It also increases the relative proportion of the wrapper and binder leaf varieties to the filler leaf varieties.

My impression of commercial cigar "editions" (e.g. Bob's Cigar Classico) is that the blender has to essentially re-blend each substantially different ring gauge of the same cigar, in order to present "sameness" to the smoker.

Finished these up the other day. Cigar mold is 43 ring gauge. Various lengths. 4 on the right are some test sticks ran through the King Roller.

Wrapper: Indonesian Bezuki
Binder: Dominican CV PA
Filler: Peru & Rene fillers

Onto binding up more and working out some more kinks on the King Roller, while contemplating which varieties of tobacco seed to start and when to start em. Perhaps this weekend, since temps are painstakingly slow to rise. Not to mention, I think I’ve seen the sun pop out twice in the last few months.

Trying some wrapper variations with the Peru + Rene fillers.

Left & Center 5 were molded in a 43 ring gauge mold. Right 4 were from the King Roller and paper strip molded.

Wrappers: Brazil CT 2012 & Habano Oscuro
Binder: Dominican CV PA
Fillers: Peru + Rene fillers

Love the dark wrapper, with the Hab 92 binder that sounds like a spicy blend!
Nice suggestion! May have to try that wrapper on the next batch of em. Too many blends to get to, too little time! I do have a couple blends you shared with me on the list as well. Once I can get to em and test, I’ll send you some feedback brother!
