@MarcL Tried the newspaper. Rolled up some up and let them sit for a few hours before putting the wrapper on. A little more of a reverse trumpet roll again (less filler at foot area and more by the head.) working on it. Cold draw was ok. Let’s see how this little assembly will taste.

Blend on both:
W-CV Corojo Oscuro
B-Vuelta Abajo
Filler- 2x Nicaraguan Jalapa Seco
1x Peru Ligero (tried to only keep in 1st 1/2)
1x San Vicente Ligero ( 2nd 1/2)
* I need to get better at not trusting just a certain amount of leaf to put in.
#50- chopped each LIGERO filler leaf into ~1/3 and stacked all of the leaf in each 1/2 of the doll.
#51- similar method to #50, but each filler leaf was rolled entubado on top of 1x Jalapa leaf to use as a “pre binder”.

@FrostD Yeah, get that citrus while its hot.
A really nice pressing can be had working paper strips like that.

That chaveta is for cigars. here is some info>> http://cigarhistory.info/Cigarmaking/Cigarmaking_tools_II.html
These can still be had on ePray today. Mine is NOS from FmGrowit or Don at WLT.

Next to bunching methods, leaf placement and the prep to be able to do it, there is a weight to its size

Gauging every inch of its density for me is reliant in the leafs relaxed state given by casing up, flattening and, the acclimation of all the filler leaves case.

Love that link for some additional history! I have lots of Rocks I can use to flatten those veins out :)! The different types of knives or chavetas with handles is something you helped me learn just now @MarcL. I always used to think just the “stereotypical” blade was used. Not to mention the history on the cutting board. That pretty funny thinking on it now, but makes sense. Too bad those cutting boards aren’t the same price these days. I bet the quality was far superior back then, than it is now. The section on cigar glue they used also really peaked my interest, I know there are a few other forums that speak to this topic... Overall tons of great info and history in that link!

In regards to casing and bunching, thank you for the post reference. Definitely a work in progress for me, but I firmly believe I will overcome it. A little more learning and thinking through it.
