I always check out your pics of your sticks.
What do you do with all these cigars?
Thanks brother! I try to let them rest (if possible). I roll way more than I can smoke. I have a few local buddies who I toss some out to as well to provide me feedback. I try to get info on the draw, flavors, aromas, burn, etc. So, I can not only learn from my palate, but from theirs as well. Most of my buddies want more of the sticks I roll than commercially made ones. The quality & type of whole leaf we can get is amazing. Not to mention, I love knowing what each blend is made out of and how subtle tweaks can sometimes work out great and sometimes not so great. I also try to do something tobacco related every day, wether it’s prepping, binding, wrapping, etc.

Thanks! And I’m having a problem with canoeing I’m having to troubleshoot. But the main components of the blends are habano ligero, Dominican seco, Rene seco, corojo viso, just playing with different proportions. But I have fell in love with the Ecuador Maduro wrappers the taste and the way they roll are beautiful. Still have a few leafs I want to try out though. But the saga continues.

Whew! Batch 1 of 3 completed! Took a few weeks. Prepping leaf, binding, prepping leaf, wrapping. All Paraguayan filler, 3 different binder variations, topped with 4 different wrapper variations (blends should be in prior pic posts). I wasn’t trying to race or attempt to pump a ton out either. Just like to stay busy and consistent on learning.

Total count was 66 wrapped in newspaper. Basically 5-6 of each binder & wrapper combo. Not in newspaper wrapper are 26 either left over scrap from the blend, bag scrap sticks, or scrap sticks from previous rolling sessions.

This is not a blurry photo. The wrapper of this little cigar is just that smooth. (I had to enhance it in Photoshop, to bring out the stealthy veins.)

I'm doing a set of blind (to me) tastings of some of @FrostD's cigars. I take notes, then read the ingredients. This particular stick is flawlessly constructed, has superb draw, and lights easily. The burn is even and requires no effort. It holds its ash well.

Once I've completed all my tastings over the following days, then I will share my blending comments with @FrostD. Congratulations on your rolling skills!

After a few days in the “casing cooler” & rotating around binder & filler leaf the time has come! A few bound up so far today. All filler is rolled entubado.

This is the start of batch 2/3 of the Ligero batches I’m working on. This batch is also going to be all Dominican Ligero.

Binder- Double Cameroon… some have a third Cameroon (1/2 leaf) added.

Filler- 1x Dom CV Black Ligero
1x Dom Criollo ‘98 Ligero
1x Dom Corojo ‘99 Ligero

Each of these are roughly 10”-12”. Once they are ready for wrappers, I’ll trim them down a bit. If they all want to stay “Churchill” size, I have been considered chopping in 1/2 due to it all being Ligero in the filler. We will see…

Looks like you're about ready to save on paper and start filling molds @FrostD ;)
I started using paper strips. Then used a couple molds. These latest batches of sticks I went back to paper strips. Just works faster imho. Not consistent ring gauges or lengths, but so far, it seems to help with airflow. Not trying to “lay” a stick in a mold aka “jam too much or too little” has been a little refreshing. Once the paper runs out though, there’s always a mold! Lol.

Let’s see some of your sticks as of late @tullius !

I weigh out my filler when working with a mold, yields very consistent draws. Like you said, the doll wants to just pop into the mold, not laid nor jammed in. It's a feel kinda thing, but when you get the feel it goes very fast.

While waiting on some wrapper and binder to case up, here's no. 250
