Not a bad Saturday, I rolled my first 2 real cigars and made some cavendish. I used mason jars to make cavendish, a little water, sugar and vanilla and boiled jars for 8 hours. It never got black, but significantly darker. I pressed it for a couple hours, cut it, now drying. The cigars could not have been made without the “tile” video. AND I racked and clarified my loquat/blueberry wine; all while watching college football.

How long do you leave your box pressed cigars in the mold for them to retain their square shape? Does the humidity level make a difference?
These did go in molds first and, get wrapped before going to the box press set up.
I like to put them in a box after they set up but, don't always.
The ones in the picture had been under pressure for 2 hours but, will start to loose the shape to a point so, I have put the back to dry to a degree. At least a day or more after which, will retain the pressing.
I have done this with rested sticks but, had to bring the moister up a little to do so.
These will be a little bit under filled then the round type I'd say.

You're a machine Marc! I love the design of that box press - I may need to upgrade my current press. What are the dimensions of an individual "box"?

You could just take a plank of wood, then screw in several parallel stacks of jumbo craft sticks (tongue depressors). Even have several width options for the same stack height.
