That looks like a solid little cigar. So, how does the Silver River puro smoke?
Bob
Light flavor, just a little harsh. Reminded me of some of the inexpensive mild cigars I started on years ago. Similar flavor but more muted than the romeo y juliet tins I used to smoke.
It burned well considering the damp wrapper and a very tight draw. I cut the ash off and am letting it dry out a little more.

MarcL's photo with the beetle makes me laugh every time I look at it. It tells a story. Either a happy, "bug's life" story, or a horror story. But it carries a strong narrative quality.

Good to hear from you, Maks.

Had the leaf been kilned at all?

MarcL's photo....

MarcL's photo is great macro shot and yes it is a story behind. Not "Short story" from Fuente but rather large story.

About your cigar. Reminds me on Cain straight ligero from Oliva. You should try if you haven't yet. I tried once cain 660 f habano and I couldn't smoke it in one day. Left more than half for another day and I finished it third day. Never happened to me with any other cigar. It was so rich,...strong..full flavor. Great cigar, great tobacco.

Besuki puro
I am glad that I don't turn all my besuki leaves to perique yet. Yesterday I tried rolling it in cigarette paper and the taste just very good. So today I make a small puro and loving the taste of it. It gave a milder taste, not intensely woody and leathery like Little Dutch, and much more creamy smoke. Also burn very well until the end, even with my rolling skill. I decided to age this and made it a filler leaves for blending.
