those look good to me, nothing better than being able to sit back in the evening with your fav. beverage and enjoying the work of your hands
Thank you! I’m about to enjoy it while taking my two sons fishing. You’re right about enjoying the work of your hands, I find myself wanting to hurry up with the day so I can get to my nightly cigar and slow down lol if that makes sense.

The leaves have spent 7-8 weeks air cure, then 6-7 weeks fermenting in the kiln, and finally rested for 4-8 weeks. I'll give these 2 weeks in a humidor and taste test. That should give me a good idea where the leaf is age wise. What will it taste like? Your guess is as good as mine. Haha
How did they taste?

This doll a puro of homegrown 2023 Piloto Cubano. Initially, the idea was to bind some homegrown filler in WLT binder just to see what would happen. But, in my bag I found two secco leaves, both full of holes that were long enough and thick enough to work. I laid them on top of each other and the holes were mostly sealed. After a few days in a paper binder I had what's been my longest, best looking cigar I've rolled yet. (I'm bad about leaving too much bunch exposed at the foot and having to trim it down)
In my excitement I wrapped it up in WLT Sumatra, but applied it upside down.
So it goes.
The plan is to smoke it on Sunday.

I've become a fan of the "shaggy foot" if you give it about 3/8" to actually smoke a little before the wrapper I like the flavor transition. Really goes to show how much influence the wrapper has.
