" Torcedor ", is that like the guy that escorts ppl on tours ?
My fist few cigars weren't that nice. They still aren't. I found the Ecuadorian Maduro wrappers tough to get smooth cause of the thickness and veins.
Matter a fact I still have big problems with them.

You're not alone. I also find them very tricky to roll and always come out a little rough. It is what it is.

Hey everyone. I'm a younger guy from PA. I'm new to cigar rolling and tobacco in general. Recently bought the Sabroso Medio kit from WLT. I scoured the internet (including everyone's posts from this site which helped a ton), put together a makeshift mold and set up in my garage. Here's a few of them. The second one in is wrapped with binder because I ran out of wrapper and the white residue is cause of too much pectin (I'm using xanthan gum now). Probably going to buy another blend kit soon. I'm hooked.

I feel I'm getting a little better at this after 30 plus some cigars.
These are my latest cigars.
I'm starting the get a tighter roll to them. My cigars use to have a soft feel to them even after the finished wrapper was applied but not they are coming out with a more solid feel to them.
I now have the feel to rolling tighter when applying the binder to the bunched filler. I still have a long way to go tho.
Even with the louse roll they all burn well. Here are 2 of the latest.

Try the book binder, and see if that helps. They look great- but as You say loose. I would go down and have a print shop make some rings (bands) for You. Your name needs to be on the two You just posted. Mad- Great work!

They look really good. Are you using a mold? If so just add more tobacco into the bunch. If you're free hand rolling try to over do it one time and make it too tight.

I have a saying that "sometimes you don't know when you're doing it right until you do it wrong". So take it over the edge to find the happy medium but I would stay with 'entubado' method. Which lends it self to an easier draw anyway.

MO they look louse at the ends then they really are I hate wasting to much tobacco so I don't cut the foot end of my cigars. I leave them as they are rolled.
If I took a 1/2in off the foot they would look better then they do. But alot of room to improve on my packing still.

Gdaddy, Yes I'm using a mold now and I will try to fill them more on the next few to see how it works out. I was hesitant to over fill them as I worried about to much compression in the mold for some dumb reason. Not sure why I thought that.
Thanks for the input guys, it really does help.

I say, Go with Gdaddy on the pack. The left over leaf can go in the next stick at the head. I put the left over in all of My sticks at the head. Some I chew when done. You have a talent that is yet to come out. Open up and get in the next comp. to beat Me? Damnd they look good! Try a book binder and see next on the next roll? Mad-

I just took the other 3 out of the mold and put skins on them. Do these look any better ?
I knew I did better then the ones I posted earlier. Still need to work on the bunching tho.
Practice, Practice, Practice :)

They really look excellent. You've got the appearance down perfectly. The packing of these latest cigars looks just fine to me. You are a prodigy.

Mad I just ordered some this week from a Bob Ramstad. Plain white but enough room to write what I want on them. Should have them in a week.
I've been using lined notebook bands so far.

Relax a little! If they're smokeable, you've won a big battle in little time!!! Mistakes happen in the first 100, but every time they just keep getting better and better.

Try rolling some "Freehand" rough looking ones quickly, and cut corners!!! Believe it or not, It'll help!!! Just like what Gdaddy said. I've found that even though they're "wrong", you can roll a smokeable Cigar on the run!

If you have use of a computer and a printer it's very easy to do them yourself.
