Thanks Dave and Buck. I think that is the size I want to focus on for the next year or two in terms of improving my blending, bunching and wrapping skill. I also like smaller rings (the 5-inch 37rg fits well into my frequent desire for a 15-minute smoke) but I feel this size might provide more flavor possibilities....

New thing. 5.5 inches, 38 ring. Only one of these was a different length, by 1/2 inch, so that's the only one that got cut. The rest I just clipped off the spare leaf bits. Gives kind of an interesting look, I think.

Waik, as always they look great.
What are you using to make them that size? Freehand, Mold, newspaper?

Thanks.

Thanks, Charlie and Lew.

I use a wood mold, a 37 ring with five 7-inch slots, basically straight cylinders, no flanged edges. I had it custom made at custommade.com.

Second time rolling! No mold used, but hopefully getting one next week. Left are Melodioso cremosa, newer ones are Oscuro y Rico. The Ecuador Maduro leaf is a pleasure to work with - nice and thick and resilient sompared to the CT shade. The maduros are fresh rolled so hopefully they'll smooth out a bit more when they dry.

Hola! Mi llamo es Evan!

These are my first home rolled sticks, from a melodioso cremosa kit from WLT. I've been watching videos and such for the last few weeks and obsessing over rolling cigars, and it's definitely a lot more difficult than they make it look.

Great job, Flowing! I can't wait to hear how that maduro smokes. I need some wrapper soon and it's hard to pull the trigger....

Thanks guys, I'll probably light up one of the firsts for a road trip this Friday, and let the rest age a while. I brew a lot of beers so I'm used to aging certain ones for a long time.

Second time? Without a mold? You're doing great! Looks like you have the hang of it already! You'll enjoy them for sure!

Flowing, notice how, without the use of a mold, cigars really like to form a gentle, conical shape. Very nice work.

Yummy looking cigars, Lew.

Vivo en Alberta, Canadá. Es por eso que soy poquito nervioso para
ordenar más. :( Lo siento si mi Español es mal, pero tengo mi primero curso ahora.

That's alright. your Español is most likely better then mine. if it wasn't for Google Translate I'd be in trouble. We really don't use anything but English on this form anyway.

I was just reading the "Burn Issues" page and saw that you were having issues with the oscuro y rico wrapper? Did that ever work out for you?
