Another approach (crude and functional) that I sometimes use when the wrapper seems not quite in high enough case is to lay a binder directly on top of the well-unfurled wrapper, then leave the two of them pressing together on the counter, beneath my bamboo cutting board, while I select and stem my filler. Once my filler is torn and bunched to my desired size, I bring the flattened wrapper-binder combo to the surface of the cutting board, then just wrap the bunch. This nearly always smokes well immediately, though it seldom produces photo-worthy artwork. It usually comes out better than the times I've attempted to roll a cigar on my thigh.

Sounds like a good ‘hack’ for those times when you need a cigar yesterday. I’m going to keep that in mind!

Last week’s imperfecto. I think I got this one right as I didn’t even clip the foot. I guess you could call it fuel efficient because it took all of half a second to light a 56ish gauge cigar...

Using some Ecuadorian wrappers with nic fillers and the ASP Nic Ligero very nice flavor to it on the test smoke, ordered 4 more lbs of it lol
I am not too thrilled with the asp very bland imo barely any body to it but full of nic from a leaf rolled up

Variety is the spice of life. I rolled these over the last week with varying levels of care and urgency. You may be able to make out the tourniquet on the big imperfecto.
I’m nearly out of leaf now so I just ordered 7lbs from WLT. I will be experimenting with Latakia and Kentucky fire cured when it gets here. I am so stoked about it. 132E70E3-CF58-43D7-9020-C120D4994261.jpeg660FF6F1-E67F-4439-9979-EDAD4F47B2AE.jpeg

I’ve been using the entubado method for bunching for the last nine or ten cigars I’ve rolled. At first it wasn’t working too great but they have been improving each time, with the odd exception. Interesting how my hands are learning what works and what doesn’t. This one worked really well as a result of sheer repetition. My first roll I was just amased I could smoke it and it didn’t fall apart, now the experience is leaps and bounds closer to the commercial cigars I am used to but with the added pleasure that I actually made it. Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement, advice and knowledge you shared to get me me on the right track! 87B6C114-ABBD-47F9-AC7B-099085288B5D.jpeg
