Full. Half of the one ligero was used as binder. The Pelo leaves are really small. The criollo leaves aren't big either. It was probably 45 at one end and 55 at the other.

Edit: no stems,

Also, it was too bitter. Ligero should have been in the middle.

So I made this yesterday as an experiment. It has Nic Condego viso and Paraguay flojo seco as filler, but I bound it with Kentucky Fire Cured and wrapped it in Cameroon. I think it is because the KFC is so so thick and moist, but it seriously tasted and smoked like a pipe. Without all the tamping... It was a weird experience but I can’t say it was bad, just uncanny. It was a pretty rough construction, because KFC. I left the the wrapper a little loose in case a vein tore through the wrapper so it’s not the prettiest. 1C0291A7-6DD7-402B-BDDB-F054D4B32293.jpeg2A81657C-1DFC-4F3C-AF6B-5720CBB61832.jpeg

Three weeks and 20 sticks in with the old time perfecto mold and having a great time with it. These ones were a full leaf Corojo Ligero, 1/2 Condega Viso, 1 Criollo Seco, bound with Sumatra and wrapped with Cameroon - last burn pic is 50 min. in. Condega, Sumatra, Cameroon courtesy of tradesies with Snowblithe - very fun having a local connection to the rolling community.

Fine work! I’ve only rolled like five since we traded and haven’t even got to the leaf you gave me. Here’s hoping the weather holds out!

The wrapper is Cameroon. I rolled it way back when the weather was November-like, so I've forgotten the filler components. It's like smoking a gift from a friend.

I made a batch of blend #1 a couple days ago and banded them today before I forget what they are. Since I’m not smoking too often these days I backed off a bit on the ASP Nic Ligero (it is bloody strong stuff) and slightly upped the Nic Habano Viso, with the difference in ring gauge being only the amount Flojo Seco I used. This should give me something of an idea what the proportions are doing. Can you guess which three are wrapped in the opposite direction to the binder? :) B9D7DA14-E6B9-4034-AA75-DF52659B6F8A.jpeg40E087BA-1BBD-4271-8405-B08C7DE36F4F.jpegFEAFAA65-E511-4EA7-B360-384B4196EE6E.jpeg

After a month and a half fooling around with one test blend after another, I am finally ready to stash another 40 or 50. I'll do 2 a day. I think; soI expect this series will take me into next year to complete.

1 Honduran viso core
3 T13 viso
3 Pelo de Oro seco
Dominican Binder
Criollo wrapper

All these tobaccos come from Whole Leaf, far as I know. The Dom binder is remarkable, in that these leaves are each over two foot long. They are also wide enough so that I can cut a super smooth binder strip out of each half. Plenty gets thrown away. The Pelo de Oro is so thin and small that, even tho it was sold as seco, it sure looks viso to me. Excellent burner. The only flaw is the criollo wrapper. It's from a batch years ago, and has been sitting around the office here cause it's problematic. Small leaves with a crunkle to them which is very resistant to smoothing out. But the flavor is magnificent.

This blend really works.

From the top and left in the pics, three, three and three are wrapped in the same direction to the binder?.
You are spot on for the top pic, but I banded them in a different order than the other two pictures now that I look again... The third stick in the other two was the last one I counter-wrapped so is the smoothest of those three, and now you'll know before you finish reading this sentence that it is the first from the left on those two photos, haha. I don't have a prize for you, unfortunately...

Good eye because I didn't notice that when I posted that. I just examined them again thoroughly to make sure I have them straight myself. It is third from top, first from left on both other pics.
