very impressive. I rolled one and posted it with the one you posted using a perique wrapper. It smoked nicely.

I saw that. so.. you made it through, nice. I was gonna burn that perique today. I'm gonna put a different cap so's I could get a different lip to it. I don't want the perique lip to effect the smoke. It's so potent.

Latest batch of sticks. Gotten rave reviews from my buddies that have tried them. All credit of quality goes to WLT; I’m just the roller

Very nice.

Those bands look suspiciously informative. Now the competition (that would be us) can duplicate your product. That's no way to run a business.

As a footnote, if I roll multiple cigars that I don't smoke for a few days, I no longer have any idea what I put into them. They're mystery sticks. I'm just too lazy to document most of my cigars these days.

LOL that’s me exactly! There is usually rum involved (both in me and in the casing) which is why I started writing down on a piece of paper what went into each batch. Because in a day or 3 I can’t remember what I did and they all look alike once they are in the coolerator. So now I write each rolling session’s ingredients down and place the recipe under the sticks on the drying rack. The next day or so I check the paper and make the labels, and then put the bands on the cigars before they go into the cooler. Then it’s easy to choose what you are in the mood for. Something strong, or mild but flavorful, etc. (also if you notice the darker the bank color the stronger the cigar - helps when you are rummaging around the cooladore after a few adult bevies!)

Frozen Corojo 99 - Let It Go

Remember this:

Garden20180311_3448_frozenSuckers_kilned7wks_600.jpg

At the end of the 2017 growing season, I allowed the suckers of some varieties to freeze on the stalk, and left them in the field through many cycles of freeze and thaw. I harvested only the leaves that showed no green, and were clean. I assembled a modest hand each of Corojo 99 and Piloto Cubano, then kilned them at 125°F for a generous 7 weeks.

The resulting leaf offers a mild and pleasant aroma, though the lamina are somewhat translucent, suggesting extensive cell disruption (from the freezing). I looked forward to smoking this.

Yesterday, I rolled this corona using frozen Corojo 99 as the only filler, a WLT Besuki double binder and a WLT Criollo 98 wrapper. It looks downright smokable.

This experimental cigar lights easily, and burns spectacularly well--flawlessly, I would say. Draw is nice. The smoke is full. It's only aroma when lit is that of the Criollo 98 wrapper. There seems to be little or no nicotine. Very odd. The punchline for this labor of curiosity is that the taste is absolutely vile and bitter. I was forced into tossing it after smoking only about a third of the stick.

Moral of this story: Kids, don't try this at home. If you see a sucker leaf that is frozen, Let It Go.
