Bruck, you have been keeping busy. They all look and sound tasty.

Cigar, I would say your lucky, now the wife won't run you outside to smoke your sticks.

Very nice looking cigars there Bruck! Is the cameroon leaf as 'fragile' to work with? I have read before its very hard to work with?

Cigar

No, not too fragile, pretty easy to work with. Just have to be careful to filet the edge cleanly before wrapping as they do like to split. I like them as they wrap very smoothly. I don't think they'd be strong enough for a binder though.

Same here - Mrs. Bruck likes a RYO ciggie in the evening, either Bali Shag or Peter Stokbye, but she won't touch my cigars. Wait, that doesn't sound right :)

I love the shape, Gdaddy. What kind of mold did you get?

Thanks. I hand carved it out of bass wood. Took me a weekend to do. It is tricky to roll the wrapper. I did the one in the picture wrapped in Criollo 98 ligero with the tips in a very light piloto. The darkest cigar I've rolled and the most unique. Rich and flavorful. Who says the ligero always has to go in the middle of the filler? Once dried it burns just fine.

Here's the whole thread on the process.

Smoked one of my recent new blends. Really enjoyed the flavor of this one.
Thanks all for the input that helped me make some adjustments.
Blend # 6
Nicaraguan Seco 2leaf
Nicaraguan Viso 2 leaf

Mata Fina Just 1/4thleaf
Aleman Binder

Habana 2000 Wrapper

Hints of pepper, and creamy goodness came across from the Mata Fina.
I think my next adjustment will be trying a Sumatra binder instead of the Aleman.
Either that or add 1/4th leaf of criollo 98 Ligero to it.

That's a great blend, I've done something similar minus the Viso, one of my favorites!

Looks like your rolling has come a long way too! Excellent job!!!

Next time I'll try it with the Nic. Habano Viso like you have it, I like the Nicaraguan Viso, and use about the same with the Brazilian Mata Fina. When used in the right proportion like this, it does impart a nice Creaminess :)

Casa de Céfiro No 5.1
I had a 5 but was very unhappy with the taste / burn. I figure it was due to the wrapper (Criollo98 Ligero Wrapper).
I removed the wrapper and tried another one.

Below is No 5.1

Nicaraguan Seco
Nicaraguan Viso
Dominican Binder

Habana 2000 Wrapper

Better than 5 butnot the flavor I am looking for. Not asbad on keeping lit but still issues.
I am thinking I don't care for the Dominican in this particular blend of filler.
I will have to see what it goes better with.
