Casa de Céfiro No 5.1
I had a 5 but was very unhappy with the taste / burn. I figure it was due to the wrapper (Criollo98 Ligero Wrapper).
I removed the wrapper and tried another one.

Below is No 5.1

Nicaraguan Seco
Nicaraguan Viso
Dominican Binder

Habana 2000 Wrapper

Better than 5 butnot the flavor I am looking for. Not asbad on keeping lit but still issues.
I am thinking I don't care for the Dominican in this particular blend of filler.
I will have to see what it goes better with.

What flavor are you looking for exactly? You could try Piloto Cubano Viso, or a Seco double binder.

Really looking for hints of Dark Chocolate on top of what is already in the blend. Along with some creaminess.
I got even closer with version 6 thanks to your recommendation on the Mata Fina for creaminess.

Nicaraguan Seco 2leafNicaraguan Viso 2 leaf
Mata Fina Just 1/4thleaf
Aleman Binder

Habana 2000 Wrapper

The Aleman binder seems to work better for the burn, and the Mata Fina brought the creaminess.

I have another version I wrapped this weekend, and letting it rest for a few days before trial.
I swapped the Aleman for a Sumatra binder. We will see how it goes. This is my first try on the Sumatra.

Since the Aleman binder is out of stock, I can't recommend the double binder of Aleman and an Aleman wrapper! That would've given you what you're looking for though. Now, I haven't tried the new Penn. Oscuro wrapper yet, but that should do the trick?

I just ordered the criolla 98 , whats yall's reviews on that mixed with the dominican.

The PA oscuro would probably work. Not as spicy as the Aleman but close.

When my order comes in, I'll be rolling some nice camp fire smelling smokes :)

my post from Re: Winter's coming

Arizona is very pleasant in the winter time, the highs around 65*, sometimes 70*. Nic. Habano Viso will keep the sinus clear with it's pepperiness, and Piloto Cubano Seco and a Habano 2000 wrapper help keep it enjoyable! I love woody smokes in the fall or winter. It reminds me of pleasant camp fires in the fall. Of course Criollo 98's of any kind also give me that pleasure as well. They both seem to blend in with the fire place aroma that is in the air at that time.

i think i got the last of the Aleman. Bought two lbs of the binder-wrapper. Great leaf when you can tame it, but i basically got two bags of rags, only good for filler, with very few exceptions. The few halves that i could wrap with were pretty awesome. too bad its gone and too bad i didnt get in on it earlier.

I LOVE that stuff! You can always trade with me! It mixes well with Piloto Cubano Seco and Viso, and several Ligueros. Nice chocolaty taste. a ¼ or ½ leaf of Brazilian Mata Fina also makes a great cigar! Or combine those 3 for a fantastic cigar!

Agree with everything you said, AZ-D, except the part about me parting with it! haha

Something different. Filler is Bigbonner's red tips, maryland and prilep. Maryland binder and firecured wrapper. Not the best burning cigar. Highly aromatic with the firecured wrapper, flavour is not too strong due to the prilep, burley flavour barely comes through but is there. I'm really liking the firecured wrapper though and am gonna have to try using it again.

Now, that sounds interesting. I hope Don gets the fire cured back in stock soon.....
