Nice variety there Ben.
the Red footed one on the left is just beggin to be smoked.

I also like the tapering going on the one to the right.

Nice job. That's at least three sizes in that photo. You rolled sixty sticks? I'd love to learn more about where/how you got those fancy-shaped labels and what the foot labels are. Ribbon?

Had a few days off work and rolled a few Fat Dutchmans. Rolled 20 of each size, busy drying out.

Smoking this rustic thing tonight gave me that Clint Eastwood feeling.

The ash made an interesting yin-yang shape on the face. I'm not sure what my bunching method was when I rolled this ten weeks ago. I've never done straight book, but have tried many variations of entubado.

Rolled about 140 cigars, different blends etc. The labels I did on MS Word- took me ages to get right, I wanted to change the date on them but cant remember how and what I did, so I gave up. The bottom on some cigars are just a nice ribbon.

Exellent job waikikigun !!
it's amazing how you still can see the way the cigar was rolled in the ash.

Wow! 140. If I can roll 10 in a week I feel like I've really produced!

But your labels with the fancy shapes to the paper itself: do you buy those somewhere pre-shaped or do you cut them to that shape with scissors or a knife or something?

Thanks, charlie G. and moscca. I know that taste is much more important, but when they taste good and have a pretty ash then that's a bonus. :)

Here is a picture of my first lot of cigars. The blend is Melodioso Cremosa the cigars are sitting on a PA Red leaf from my 2012 grow. The one to the left is the only one with a cap on.IMG_1271.JPG

Your so right if you can get a great taste, ash and burn in a hand rolled cigar it makes it a little more enjoyable.

Harrow Velvet Wrapper

Filler is entirely kilned Vuelta Abajo 2014. I used a double WLT Besuki binder. The wrapper is 1 year old, stalk-cured Harrow Velvet burley [that was brought in from the shed and stripped just today].

Harrow Velvet makes lovely, thin, blond wrappers with a smooth, mild flavor. Its ash is a bit flaky.

Without the funny camera angle, this pic shows the actual size of the cigar.

Nice! That middle pic, before I see the third one, is inspirational. :D

Now I'm off to google Harrow Velvet...
